 MAIN OUTPUT

PARTS OF MICROSOFT WORD

Identifying the parts of Microsoft Word is crucial in writing/making documents. It is crucial as it enables you to accurately and efficiently navigate through the entire MS Word software without any drawbacks or confusion.
  • Quick Access Tool Bar - is a customizable toolbar made to help users do their tasks effectively and efficiently. This toolbar is commonly used in quick saving, undoing a command, and redoing a command.
  • Menu Bar - is located under the title bar. This line of commands corresponds to each branch of the ribbon, namely; File, Home, Insert, Design, Layout, References, Mailings, Review, View, and Help. Clicking on this individual branch will change the ribbon window to its corresponding properties.
  • Title Bar - is where you can see the file name of the current word document that you are working on.
  • Microsoft Account - is a function that lets you connect online - enabling you to sign in to your existing account.
  • Minimize - minimizes the application tab, enabling you to work around your gadget without the main tab showing in the foreground.
  • Restore - is the ability to make a tab or a window smaller than it currently is. It mostly allows you to multitask by enabling you to keep multiple tabs open at the same time.
  • Close - closes the application or software that you are currently using. A window will also pop up, asking if you want to save your document if you incase forgot to.
  • Ribbon - is where most of the commands are located and used. The commands in the ribbon changes as it corresponds to each different label in the Menu Bar.
  • Collapse/Pin the Ribbon - This enables you to remove the ribbon section to better maximize the document window and its properties, but if the window has already been collapsed; you can restore it by clicking it again.
  • Vertical Line - allows you to measure the Document Window, as well as the things inside it.
  • Navigation Pane - allows you to navigate through each page and properties on the Document Window - allowing an efficient flow in performing activities inside the window.
  • Document Window - is where you work, write and/or perform activities. All of the properties from different parts of MS Word are bought to this tab, as everything is affected here.
  • Status Bar - is where you can see the number of words your document has accumulated, as well as the number of pages.
  • View Options - enables you to look at your document in different ways, such as; Read Mode - enables you to look at your document in a manner as if it was written in a book, Print Layout - allows you to look at your document in a printed manner, and Web Layout - in which you can view your document as if it was in the online browser.
