Exercise 7: FUNCTIONS - SALARY COMPUTATION - By Arvin Rae Javier
BASIC SALARY:
First, I went ahead and made a payroll template and wrote down the names of the employees, and their rate and days of work. After that I was able to get the basic salary by using the excel Formula (=B5*C5).
SSS TABLE:
After that, I made an SSS table in the add sheet in the bottom left corner, and wrote the values, selected them all and wrote SSS on the table. Based on the Professor, this is done so I that I could use the VLOOKUP formula to the PAYROLL.
PHIL HEALTH, PAG-IBIG, AND TAX:
After Inputting the VLOOKUP formula, I went ahead and used the IF formula on Phil health, Pag-ibig and Tax, I used these formula to get the results that I wanted.
After that I got these Results...
TOTAL DEDUCTION AND NET PAY:
After getting all of the variables down into the table using multiple formulas, I can now compute for Total Deductions and Net Pay Using the formulas provided below:
And was able to get these results...
NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES:
After completing the entire table, I must now compute everything, and we can start by counting the number of employees using the formula COUNTA
AVERAGE DATA:
The next step is to get all the average data, and to do this you just need to type =AVERAGE, and after doing that, I got these results.
HIGHTEST AND LOWEST VALUE:
Using the formula MIN and MAX we were able to get the most lowest value in the table.
